CBD is also known as cannabidiol. It is one of many cannabinoids derived from the hemp plant, cousin to the cannabis plant. CBD alone is non-psychoactive, which means it doesn't give you a high.
Hemp oil or hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant and contains no beneficial CBD. CBD oil is extracted from the flowers, leaves or stems of the hemp plant. It can be extracted through several methods such as carbon dioxide(CO2), a variety of solvents including ethanol, butane and propane and even olive oil. The extraction method can affect the finished quality of CBD oil.
As humans, we have a natural endocannabinoid system responsible for managing a variety of biological processes, including immune response, memory, sleep and more. It consists of two types of cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2). These receptors interact with cannabinoids. They can also interact with plant-derived cannabinoids like CBD, which in turn cause a variety of beneficial responses throughout the body.
Research has shown that CBD may ease symptoms associated with the following conditions; anxiety and stress, chronic pain, conditions affecting the immune system, epilepsy, insomnia and other sleep disorders, mood disorders and nausea.
In addition to some of these potential benefits, CBD has been shown to possibly help common skin issues as well. Benefits to the skin include reducing inflammation, providing hydration and antioxidants, reducing wrinkles and helping to minimize acne. Recent studies have shown that CBD may also help provide relief from skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

There is really no correct CBD dosage. The proper dose for each person depends on many factors such as tolerance, body type and the consumers level of discomfort. We provide a recommended daily dose based off of our research and experience. If it is your first time taking a CBD products, we recommend starting with a single dose and go up from there. It's ok to take your time, play around with dosage and find out what works best for you.
Just like humans, dogs and cats have also have an endocannabinoid system that functions very closely to the way ours does. Your furry loved ones can also suffer from some of the same conditions that we do such as arthritis, pain and anxiety. Cats are even susceptible to suffering from epilepsy just as humans. There is still much research to be done regarding CBD for the treatment of epileptic felines but there has been a recent number of studies showing very promising results on the subject.
The skin and coat of your pet is also very important for their overall health and well being. The largest and most vulnerable organ your dog and cat have is their skin and coat which provide many vital tasks to your pet's health. Studies have been show that CBD can also be beneficial to the health of your pet's skin and coat.
